1. About these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and Foreranger LTD (“Tangibool”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the Tangibool website, the application at app.tangibool.com, and the headless runner (together, the “service”). By using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our privacy policy.
Foreranger LTD is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10535686), with its registered office at Eastgate House, Dogflud Way, Farnham, Surrey, England, GU9 7UD.
If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation.
2. Using Tangibool without an account
You can use Tangibool without an account. Your work is then stored only in your browser on your device. Browser storage is not a backup: clearing your browser’s site data, changing device, or a browser fault can permanently delete it, and we cannot recover it. Export or copy important projects to the cloud.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if higher, to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. An account is for one person.
- Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you should tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. Plans and limits
We offer a Free plan and paid plans, described on our pricing page. Every plan includes every feature; plans differ in cloud projects, storage, AI drafts, server jobs, editor seats, and support.
- Plan limits are operating limits. If you exceed them, for example after a downgrade, nothing is deleted, and you can still read and export everything, but new work that would add to a limit is refused until you upgrade or make room.
- Only editors count towards a plan. Viewers and commenters are free and unlimited.
- AI reviews and paraphrases are provided on a fair-use basis, and daily limits apply to prevent abuse.
- The service also has technical operating limits, such as the maximum number of inputs per model, which apply to every plan and are published on our features page.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Prices. Prices are shown on our pricing page in US dollars and include any VAT that applies. Nothing is added at checkout.
- Payment. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your chosen payment method.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in Account → Plan & usage. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep your plan until then, and your account then moves to the Free plan with all your work intact.
- Your 14-day right to cancel. If you’re a consumer, you can cancel a new paid subscription for any reason within 14 days, starting the day after you buy it. To cancel, email [email protected] from your account’s email address with a clear statement that you are cancelling. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving it, to your original payment method. If you asked for your paid plan to start straight away, we may deduct an amount in proportion to the time you had it before you cancelled.
- Refunds. Apart from that right and any other rights you have under the law, payments are non-refundable. If you cancel later, your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and we don’t refund the rest of that period. The 14-day right doesn’t apply to subscriptions bought for a business.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, you keep your plan for a grace period of seven days while you update your payment method. If payment is still outstanding after that, the paid plan ends and the Free plan’s limits apply. Nothing is deleted.
- Team seats. The Team plan is billed per editor. The number of seats follows your team’s editors, and changes are charged or credited proportionally by our payment provider.
- Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects you. It applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- Deleting an account with a subscription. Cancel any paid subscription before deleting your account or team, so that you are not charged again.
6. Education programme
Verified students and teachers may receive a 50% discount on the Pro plan. We review requests manually and may decline a request, or end a discount that no longer meets the programme’s criteria. If a discount ends, the standard Pro price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then; nothing is deleted. School and class licences are arranged separately in writing.
7. Your content
You keep all rights in the rules, text, diagrams, tests, notes, comments, and other material you put into Tangibool (“your content”). We don’t claim ownership of it.
You give us a limited licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit, and display your content only as needed to provide the service to you and the people you share it with, including sending it to the AI providers you choose to enable. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies kept for the limited periods described in our privacy policy. We don’t use your content to train AI models.
You are responsible for your content and for having the right to use it. Don’t put anything into Tangibool that you aren’t allowed to share with us or our service providers.
8. Sharing and teams
- Team owners and admins control who can access their projects and with which role. Owners are responsible for their team’s members and settings.
- Snapshot links show a fixed copy of a project to anyone you grant access. You can revoke or expire a link at any time.
- Revoking access stops the service from showing content from then on. It cannot recall copies that people have already downloaded, exported, or saved.
9. AI features
AI features are optional and only run after you enable each provider. AI output, including draft formulas, glossaries, clarifying questions, paraphrases, and review findings, consists of proposals that may be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing it, confirming what your rules mean, and choosing your expected results. AI output is never a mathematical result in Tangibool.
AI features may occasionally be unavailable, for example during a provider outage or when usage limits are reached. All deterministic features keep working when they are.
10. What Tangibool verifies, and what it doesn’t
Tangibool analyses the logical model you supply. Its results are exact within the documented methods and limits, and a result marked “Not determined” establishes nothing.
Tangibool does not establish that a model matches a real-world policy, law, contract, or requirement; that the facts fed into a rule are true; or that a rule is legal, fair, complete, or safe. It is not certified for safety-critical use and does not enforce policies or operate systems. It must not be the only safeguard for decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on people.
Exported code, queries, and reports are generated for you to review, test, and use at your own discretion. Exporting code does not run it, and you are responsible for how and where you deploy it.
11. Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- access, or try to access, another person’s account or data, or test the security of the service other than through responsible disclosure to [email protected];
- get around plan limits, rate limits, or other technical restrictions;
- overload, disrupt, or harm the service or its users, including with malware or automated traffic beyond normal use;
- copy, resell, or offer the service to others as your own without our written agreement;
- reverse engineer the service, except where the law expressly allows it.
12. Changes and availability
We work to keep the service available, secure, and reliable, but we don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may carry out maintenance. We may change, improve, or retire features. If we retire a feature you rely on, or the service itself, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content first.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account in Account & privacy.
We may suspend or disable an account if we reasonably believe it breaches these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or if the law requires it. Where appropriate and lawful, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond and to export your content. If we end the service for you without cause, we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
14. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties, including our hosting provider, our payment provider (Stripe), and the AI providers you choose to enable. Their own terms may apply to your use of their services, and we aren’t responsible for services we don’t control.
15. Our intellectual property
The Tangibool software, website, name, and logo belong to us or our licensors. These terms don’t give you any right to them except to use the service as described here. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
16. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties beyond those set out in these terms. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in that period and £100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
If you use the service for business purposes, you agree to compensate us for claims by third parties arising from your content or your breach of these terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there.
18. General
- Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. For significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using the service and cancel your subscription.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the documents they refer to are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
- Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, for example in a merger, and will tell you if we do; your rights under these terms won’t be affected.
